An LLM-powered knowledge graph and semantic search engine designed to cross-reference the Western philosophical canon ("Great Books" — Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Aquinas, Kant) with Eastern classical texts (Analects of Confucius, Tao Te Ching, Dhammapada, Platform Sutra) — making comparative philosophy and theology tractable for academic researchers.
The system uses embedding models to surface conceptual parallels across linguistic and cultural boundaries, enabling researchers to ask questions like: "Show me all passages in the Western canon that discuss self-overcoming, and surface their Eastern counterparts." The Mandarin language integration is central — the system works with original Wenyan (Classical Chinese) texts, not just English translations, catching semantic nuances that translation typically destroys.

A long-form academic thesis (backed by an original AI model) exploring how machine learning categorizes human consciousness — contrasting Western computational models with Eastern frameworks of the mind. The thesis argues that current AI architectures encode deeply Western, materialist assumptions about what consciousness is and how it operates, and that exposure to Buddhist and Daoist epistemologies can surface those assumptions and help build more ethically grounded systems.
The accompanying AI model uses interpretability tools to visualize how different language models represent concepts like "self," "awareness," and "suffering" — comparing these representations across models trained on primarily English versus primarily Mandarin corpora. The Great Books Semantic Engine (below) is the primary research tool driving this thesis — surfacing cross-cultural conceptual parallels in real time.

An AI project dedicated to archiving, translating, and revitalizing an endangered language or dialect — demonstrating that the tools of machine learning can serve cultural preservation as much as commercial optimization. This project is designed to be submitted as evidence of commitment to indigenous and minority traditions in graduate divinity school applications.
